Famílias Agregadas à Família Baião. No decorrer da minha pesquisa acerca das origens da minha família, fui adicionando familiares, directos e indirectos agrupados nas respectivas famílias. Família Baião oriunda de Faro, Algarve. Que deu origem à família Lopes Baião que se radicou na Trafaria. Freguesia do Monte de Caparica.

Foi o segundo museu criado no Algarve. 2 de Fevereiro de 1984 foi deliberada a sua criação, homenageando assim o Navegador por ocasião do V Centenário do seu nascimento. 1896 a exposição do espólio já ocupava três salas do edifício dos Paços do Concelho. A abertura ao público efectuou-se no dia 9 de Outubro de 1897, com a presença do Rei D. Carlos e da Rainha D. As quais só foram inauguradas em 1973.
Quinta-feira, 2 de dezembro de 2010. Convento da Nossa Senhora da Assunção. Notável edifício da arquitectura monástica quinhentista. É um dos primeiros exemplares da tipologia de claustros. Foi um dos quatro conventos femininos outrora existentes na diocese algarvia. As freiras, cujo número podia ir até trinta, provinham de famílias algarvias de boa reputação e elevado estatuto social. Após a implantação do Liberalismo e a consequente extinção das Ordens Religiosas, as freiras deixaram o convento em 1836.
